About Cleanview

Cleanview is a market intelligence company tracking U.S. power infrastructure and data center development. Our most popular products are our clean energy project tracker and data center project tracker.

We track where data centers and power projects (solar, wind, batteries, and natural gas) are being built across the U.S. — including projects that haven't been publicly announced. To identify projects, we use everything from permit documents to satellite imagery.

Our work has been cited in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, and other major publications. We also publish original investigative reporting on the companies and projects reshaping American energy infrastructure.

Cleanview is used by analysts, business development teams, investors, and journalists who want to track the development of power projects and data centers in real-time.

Team

Cleanview was founded by Michael Thomas, who previously created the Distilled newsletter covering clean energy technology and trends. Distilled has been read by more than 50 million people and cited in The New York Times, The Guardian, and The New Yorker.

We're a small, bootstrapped team based in Colorado.
